When I started Redefining Retirement, there wasn't much Gen X content out there.
Now it's everywhere — YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, a lot of really good creators doing great work.
I always find myself thinking I need get more eyeballs on their stuff.
I'd rather point you to the good stuff than try to be guru with all the answers (because I and not AND it sound F*****g exhausting. So every week, three things, kept simple:
Gen X Reinvention / Retirement — what's next, staying relevant, getting paid on your own terms, long term, etc.
AI / Future of Work — there's a crap ton of noise out there, good and bad, and I want to help us stay level-headed, not freaked out.
Music of the Week — because we always need a little music in there

Gen X Reinvention
I've been watching Lori's stuff for a while now, and she's spot on — especially in this one, which is basically saying what I've been saying for the last four or five years. It's at the core of everything we talk about here at Redefining Retirement.
Anyway, check it out…
AI / Future of Work
A lot of what's out there on AI right now is fear-based. Everybody's trying to freak us out — "it's going to take your job, it's going to wipe us out," etc., etc.
This guy, Moe Bittar, is someone I've been following for a couple months now, and he helps me balance out all the fear-mongering. He's funny, and I think you'll appreciate his humor too. Good to check in on him once in a while to keep things real — I don't think it's as bad as they say it's going to be.
Anyway, check out his latest on OpenAI — gives you a pretty good idea of where he's coming from.
Music of the Week
Heard this on the radio a couple weekends ago, and it always makes me feel good — upbeat tune, and kind of fun digging into the history behind it too.
You'd look at this guy as a one-hit wonder, but he's actually a music industry veteran — wrote "Living in America" for James Brown off the Rocky IV soundtrack, and got his start playing in the Edgar Winter Group. (Remember Edgar Winter? "Frankenstein"?)
Anyway, kind of interesting. I always end up reading about that stuff. Cool song, still holds up.
