Unexpected Adventures In A Post 9-5 Life
How My Unfulfilled Travel Dreams Led To Greater Personal Discoveries
Ever found yourself daydreaming at your desk about travels and freedom?
That was me before I left my job.
I dreamed about how I would travel around the country.
But honestly, outside of family trips and getaways with friends, I really haven’t gone anywhere.
For a minute, I felt like I wasted so much opportunity.
Here I am, a one-person business owner with more freedom and control, yet nowhere near the travel I dreamed about.
But when I thought about…
Mental Expeditions
Sure, my physical travels might be limited, but mentally and spiritually, I've traveled far and wide.
The books I've devoured, the courses I've absorbed, and the crap ton of cool people I've met have taken me to places of knowledge and experience far beyond the confines of a traditional job.
Just look at the variety of industries I’ve dipped into via my clients alone:
Luxury Real Estate
Hair Restoration Surgery
Mobile IV Therapy
B2B SaaS Financing
3D Printing Services
Destination Weddings
Spa Equipment Sales
Concrete Polishing Services
Mobile Hydraulic Repair Services
Agricultural Machinery
Music Production Software
Medical Website Hosting
Remote Session Musician Services
Temporary Employment Services
Industrial Machinery Sales
Material Handling Equipment
Boat and RV Sales
Custom Software Development
Commercial Real Estate Financing
Custom Architectural Lighting Manufacturing
Commercial Construction Equipment Manufacturing
And I’m probably missing some.
How is that for variety?
There is NO WAY I would’ve had those adventures in a regular 9-5.
Internal Exploration
This is what my self-employment has granted me – the space to explore internally.
My work is flexible, allowing me to travel any time. Some mornings, I immerse myself in reading or personal projects. Some afternoons, I’m taking courses or networking online. Whatever.
This is how I stay relevant. This is how I engage in work that stokes my passion, work that doesn't feel like work. And honestly, it's why the idea of retiring feels foreign to me.
I’m living a life of continuous learning and growth, something a traditional job could never offer.
Invitation to Explore
Does this resonate with you?
Do you daydream about days filled not just with different tasks, but different worlds?
Reach out and let’s chat about how you can get started on your journey.
Because when you have the freedom to design your life, you realize that travel isn’t just about where your feet take you, but where your mind can wander.
Escape
When I was a teenager I didn’t really put that much thought into lyrics.
I was always just a sucker for the crunch and the energy.
So even though I listened to this song hundreds of times back in the day I didn’t really get the message.
Then, somewhere in my late thirties, the lightbulb went off.
Feels like a solid compliment to the message above.
Listen now and see if you agree.
That should get your blood pumpin'.
Meanwhile, before the feeling wears off, book a brainstorm, and let’s get you moving towards more freedom.
Let’s do this,
Corey
